Originally from New Zealand, Martyn moved to Anaheim, California in 2018. A corporate executive by day and paranormal investigator by night, he brings a naturally analytical and evidence-driven approach to investigating the unexplained. Once a self-described 99% skeptic, Martyn’s perspective changed after his first major investigation at the historic Washoe Club in Virginia City. That investigation and experiences ultimately led to the formation of Golden State Paranormal. Since then, Martyn has built extensive investigation experience at some of America’s most recognised paranormal locations, including the Washoe Club, Waverly Hills Sanatorium, Rolling Hills Asylum, Bobby Mackey’s, the Queen Mary, Mackay Mansion, Donovan Mill, Los Angeles Police Museum, and numerous historic locations throughout California and Nevada. Golden State Paranormal has also hosted and co-hosted public investigations, including events with well-known paranormal investigators. Now firmly on the believer side of the scale, Martyn remains focused on continuing the search for answers to one of life’s biggest mysteries: what happens after life?
